The recording of inacceptable variants serves to control the result of the analysis. A relevance hypothesis is under doubt if an inacceptable variant differs only in supposedly unimportant factors and less than critically from ideal variants. In this case, the factors can not be as unimportant as expected and the example base has to be verified.
